On Saturday, January 3rd, there was a fire at our school in Hadley.
We feel very fortunate and grateful that no one was in the building at the time, and that no one was hurt. We’re still unsure of the cause. The damage was significant, and our building in Hadley will be unusable for a while.
As a result, our student clinic, and some of our classes, are temporarily closed. We’re actively finalizing a temporary space, and we’ll use this page to provide updates.
In the meantime, below is a note I wrote to our students and instructors. Should you have any additional questions, please call our temporary phone number at 413.585.8000.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share an update.
The damage to the Hadley school is significant enough that we won’t be able to use the building in the near term. Because of that, we’ll be relocating our clinic and in-person classes to a temporary space. Until that’s in place, clinic and in-person classes will remain paused, while our online courses will continue.
We don’t yet have a confirmed temporary location or restart date, but I’ve begun touring spaces nearby, and will keep you posted as we learn more.
I know this is disruptive, and I really appreciate your patience. We're moving as quickly as we can, but won’t rush decisions that affect the quality of your education.
Since my last note, I’ve been especially struck by the outreach and offers of help from students, clients, teachers, and even random others around town - especially since I stepped into ownership just a few weeks ago and haven’t met many of you yet. I don’t yet know how to take you up on that support, but I’m grateful for it, and I’ll be in touch when the time comes.
You’ve all built something really special here. This is a disruptive event, but that’s all it is. What can we do but look forward, with optimism and confidence in this thing we're doing together? I’ve been inspired by this community over the last 36 hours, and I’m excited for what we’ll create coming out of this.
For now, please reach out to Julia or me with any questions. We’ll continue to share updates regularly, even when there’s nothing new to report.
Andrew
